Misa Okubo
Misa was born in Oshu, Iwate and grew up in Yotsukadiou, Chiba. She started playing for a local softball team at age 8 where she excelled and continued on to play throughout her junior and high school years winning various tournaments and championship leagues. From 2005 to 2014 she played for the Renesas Electronics Takasaki Women’s Softball Club (now known as Bic Camera Women’s Softball Takasaki). From 2011 to 2014 she also played for the Japan National Softball Team winning the World Championships in 2012 and 2014. In 2018, she graduated from the Tokyo Eisei Gakuen College and obtained her national license as a practitioner of acupuncture, moxibustion, shiatsu and massage therapy. In 2018 she moved to Vancouver, Canada to study with the director/publisher of NAJOM (North American Journal of Oriental Medicine), aka the “moxa king,” Junji Mizuntani while working at the Japan Shiatsu Clinic. In 2019 she returned to Japan to open the Misa Acupuncture Clinic. In 2020 she obtained license NASM-PES (National Academy of Sports Medicine-Performance Enhancement Specialist)
